Lunch at La Musa

Walking around Madrid at random, turning corners, exploring streets…

I find this peaceful place, a restaurant with outdoor seating. A good place to take a break, rest my aching feet and people watch.

Sitting at the table next to me are four women. Are they a friends, perhaps from school? Colleagues? It’s hard to tell. They look like they have all the time in the world, as they enjoy a leisurely lunch; starters followed by the main course and ending with dessert – a luscious chocolate cake and some fruits!

Further ahead is another table of four – two men and two women. One of the men looks like he has stepped out of GQ – slim, blonde, tanned and fit – wearing a white long-sleeved shirt (I noticed that in Spain men don’t wear short-sleeved shirts!) tucked tight into form-fitting khakis chinos that enhanced a shapely butt and long legs ending in brown shoes. His thick blonde hair is perfectly salon-cut and carefully styled to give that careless brush-by-hand look. Definitely eye candy! Whew!

He has a small black dog, which runs around excitedly sniffing other dogs and gets smacked for his attraction…

I soak in the sun and the scene, and enjoy my break.
